WOW what a weekend, so much to talk about so lets get going!
My flight out was delayed by the 5in of snow on the ground in Omaha, go figure.
Got to ChaserCon met up with Steve Miller OK & his friends Hans Schroeder and Bob Hall.
It was nice to finally meet Steve in person and he definitely keeps good company because I enjoyed spending the weekend with his buddies too.
Meeting Reed Timmer for the first time I was a little starstruck, just wanted to have a beer or anything in my hand but he was a cool guy luckily it was a short meeting. =)
We went to the “Icebreaker” and that was a fun time, I enjoyed meeting all the people I have talked to online or on the phone in person. Tyler Allison hooked me up with a T-Shirt (Thank You) and it was cool looking at all the stuff in the room. Johnathan Brouwer had a new rooftop cam of some sort that looked really cool, I’m not a big fan of Magnets so I hope it does not become a $2k projectile. The TVN booth was nuts! Steve and I wanted a picture with Reed then it turned into complete camera pandemonium, I think there were over 12 people in the picture at one point. I did not have a camera so someone please send me some pics of it!
I finally got to meet David Drummond and Ben Holcomb in person too, you talk to these people online every day and it’s nice to sit down and have a beer. Yes Ben had a beer, there are pictures to prove it.
If you were following my Facebook updates you realize we all got stuck in the elevator, twice in a year for me so I have to ask what am I doing wrong? Might be time to loose some weight. Facebook is a NEAT tool I was able to share a lot of my experience with my friends who were not able to attend.
We spent the remainder of Friday night talking and enjoying some Domino’s, we put a stream up of the hotel room and tried to let people interact for fun.
Saturdays presentations were all great I really enjoyed Rich Thompson, Jon Davies and Tim Marshall.
Some presentations were not really up my alley so I had a good time just talking with people, except for some reason Kenny Allen was really concerned why I was not in the meeting room more often, I am confused why he was watching ME and concerned with what I was doing. I just don’t understand, some people think I spend too much time telling them what I am doning (Facebook) and others are so busy watching me they know more than me. another time another day I guess Strange…..
I did notice that the only time I did see Kory Hartman was at his mixing board, I still owe you a beer Sir.
Hats off to you and your crew! I hear your streaming was cool, I really wish we could buy archives or something.
I got stuck fixing some problems Sunday morning at the office so I did not get downstairs until 11am!
One thing I did overhear in the Lobby was Rich Thompson telling an organizer of the event that he would not mind if his material was shared and posted online. Hopefully someone from Roger Hill‘s group will run with that!
Overall it was a great experience for about $400 all inclusive, I met some new friends and hung out with some old.
