3rd place to eat Waffle House, Colorado Springs, CO
Another franchise elusive to Nebraska, Waffle House. I love this place but this was the first one I would qualify as a dive. Food was still good and as always got nickled and dimed to death. Wish you could just buy a pound of bacon at these places the way my kids eat it! They also are still the last place standing that don’t take credit cards so make sure to be packing the cash.

Actually Waffle House does take plastic now, at least in OK/TX. They converted a few years ago, but obviously the franchise as a whole has not fully-committed to the 21st century. I get the same thing everytime; I start with a double waffle, and then finish with a double cheeseburger.
